CONFIRMED! Watford sign striker on five-year deal

first_img Matej Vydra 1 Watford have signed striker Matej Vydra from Udinese on a permanent deal.The 23-year-old, who has spent two of the past three seasons on loan at Vicarage Road, has penned a five-year contract with the Premier League new boys.A statement from the club read: “Watford Football Club is delighted to announce that Matej Vydra has signed a five-year contract with the Hornets.“Having penned a permanent deal, the 23-year-old is beginning preparations for the 2015/16 Premier League season with the rest of his Hornets’ team-mates at UCL London Colney.”Vydra first linked up with the Hornets on loan ahead of the 2012/13 season and struck 22 goals in 47 games for the club.After a disappointing year-long loan spell at West Brom, he returned to Vicarage Road last summer and went on to play a key role in the club’s promotion-winning campaign, scoring 16 times from 31 league starts.last_img read more
