Three men face charges for home invasions in Peace River

Nixon has a Canada Wide warrant outstanding for his arrest. After a five month investigation into several home invasions, police from the Peace River RCMP know the identities of some of the offenders.Earlier this year, the RCMP received complaints of home invasions by individuals posing as either police officers or gas service technicians.An investigation was conducted by the RCMP Peace River with assistance from the RCMP Edmonton General Investigation Section, the Beaverlodge RCMP, the Grande Prairie and Peace River Forensic Identification Sections, the Grimshaw RCMP and the local RCMP Police Dog Section.- Advertisement -Now, three men are facing a total of 15 Criminal Code charges.Forty-nine year-old John Stewart Robertson of Beaver Lodge is charged with robbery with a firearm, forcible confinement and disguise with intent. He was scheduled for a court hearing on Monday.Fifty-four year-old Gilbert Leo Setz of Peace River is charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm, three counts of forcible confinement, disguise with intent, uttering threats and possession of a police scanner. Setz was released by the Edmonton Hearing Office on a $1,000 cash bail recognizance. Setz was scheduled for a court hearing on Monday.Advertisementlast_img read more
