first_imgSmartron, popularly known for its last year, has launched a brand new handset in the budget segment, called the P. The latest smartphone from the company boasts of a number of features that includes a full metal body, fingerprint sensor, 5000mAh battery and Snapdragon 435, among other things, that makes it a value offering at Rs 7,999. The P will go on a flash sale on January 17 at 12pm on Flipkart and will be available in Black.The Smartron P sports a full-metal body with a fingerprint sensor located on the rear. Up front you get a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280) display with capacitive keys on the bottom bezel. The handset is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. You will get 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. Smartron promises 2 days of battery life, 16 hours of video playback and 350 hours of standby time, among other things. The P is being touted as the lightest smartphone with a 5000mAh battery at 160 grams. The company says you will get a full day’s battery on 90 minutes of charge, but it will take about two and a half to three hours to charge the device from 0 to 100 per cent.advertisementSmartron’s latest handset features a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera both with LED flash support.
